I really (k)needed this.

Pardon the pun dear reader but it really has been great to get my knee thing solved, well not completely but dramatically improved. I have had these pains around the area of the inner part of the knee joint, sometimes at the top of the shin other times in the quad muscle. The pains have been quite uncomfortable the day after a run when walking up and down stairs.

The Solution has been to ensure I do a full set of stretches after each run, you will be surprised to hear that it wasn't so much the quad and knee that needed stretching off but a set of groin stretches seem to almost immediately dispelled the tightness around the knee area.
