Back to Back

One hell of a busy period of running recently which has seen me run just under 250 miles in the last 30 wonder I am feeling physically tired.

On the build ups to my other ultras I haven't quite felt this tired but this time the training plan is somewhat different as it does not just build up , it builds up in steps of 3 weeks. This weekend saw me do a back to back 12/17, it was supposed to be 12/20 but it was so hot that it just wasn't worth slogging out another 3 miles for the sake of it.

All I could think about for the last 5 miles was a homemade banana milkshake and may I say that milkshake hit the spot, especially as I added a great big lump of lemon sorbet to it.
