Jelly Baby Marshall

I had a great time on Sunday as a Marshall for my running club's annual 10 km race...should I say, Jelly Baby Marshall :-)

My job was to stand at roughly the halfway mark with a great big tub of Jelly Babies and Beans handing them out to the runners as they whizzed by. It is an absolute honour to stand at these runs and see all the people who I know have trained hard to do what they were doing. Some people I hear had only been running for a few weeks and were there to accomplish their first 10 km distance...hats off to them, grass roots running at its best.

That was my excuse for not doing a long run on Sunday but to tell you the truth I don't give a damn for the time being.

  1. That is a darn good excuse and those jellies look very tempting. I could never handle your job. No jellies would be left for runners, no matter how hard they had trained. :)
