Time to eat

I got home this evening and after a my meal soon found I was beginning to bounce off the walls and was very restless so I decided to go for a very easy 10km run on my set piece route. I promised myself that I would take it very, very easy but that was easier said then done!

Running up the road I soon found that the recent reduction in mileage was paying dividends to my speed and had to pull myself up and slow down when I found I was going at 7.30 min/mile pace on what was supposed to be a slow, easy run. This continued on and off for part of the run until I made a point of just focussing on a gentle pace.

I got back in one piece, legs suitably exercised and reminded what they have to do so the carb-loading for Saturday's double marathon commences on Friday for what promises to be an epic run, I can't wait.

  2. Good idea, think i will go and eat my own bodyweight in carbs in a minute. Big thanks to Jezza for joining me for this very BIG run, i know he will keep me amused when times are hard during the night, just hope he doesn't start singing to me (aaahhhhh.
