horas non numero nisi æstivas

...or translated from the latin:

I will only tell the summer hours.
Tonight I decided on the way out to grab the camera and see if I could take a few pictures along the way after watching the sunset across the fields of the local woods making the trees trunks turn blood red in its farewell caress I ventured deeper to run past  the William Willett memorial, a sun dial that celebrates his introduction of daylight saving all those years ago when the Summer Time Act 1925. I have to make an admission that I did sit down in the glade where the memorial stands for a few minutes of quiet contemplation before I went on...the first time that day I was completely alone and it felt good.
Felt low on gas all through the run this evening and then I realised that I have run over 63 miles in the last 7 days and this was the reason.
